Methods of language analysis are integrated into activities throughout the course Modules & Assessment:
At the end of the two-year course there are two written examination papers. Additionally, there will be two pieces of non-examination assessment:
Paper 1: 40% of A-level - focus on variations, representations & children's language development (2 hours)
Paper 2: 40% of A-level - focus on diversity, language change and debates (2 hours)
Non-examination assessment -20% of A-level - a language investigation and a piece of original writing with a commentary. This is 3,500 words long.
